Alagappa University is situated on the ideally and sprawling suited expanse for about 420 acres at business town of the Karaikudi in the Sivaganga District at Tamil Nadu. Karaikudi is around 400 Km South from Madras, in Madras - Rameswaram line as well as is available from Madurai and Tiruchirappalli in around 2 hrs through rail/road. 

Alagappa University was come into continuation in May 1985 through special Act of Government of Tamil Nadu with objective to foster development, research, and knowledge dissemination in different branches of learning. 

From the year 1992, the Alagappa University is offering Distance Education Programs in different subjects. 

Eligibility

For a 3 years MCA course, the applicants need to have any degree in Mathematics as one subject OR any degree having PGDCA in any associated discipline. The candidates need to have minimum 18 years of age. Admissions will only be given after attending the Preparatory Course and clearing the Entrance Test. 

Admission Procedure

The prospectus and application form may be received from “The Director, Directorate of Distance Education, Alagappa University, Karaikudi – 630003, Tamilnadu” by paying the necessary fees of Rs. 300 for MCA course. The demand draft should be favoring The Director, at Distance Education of Alagappa University need to be paid on any nationalized bank at the Karaikudi with mentioning name of course OR through any University accepted Centers. Admissions are open for all the 7 days a week.
