Tamil Nadu Open University TNOU BCA Admission
Tamil Nadu Open University was formed by the act of Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu in October 2002. University is beneficial for those who have been denied to access higher education, physically challenged, and working Men and Women. The main motto of Tamil Nadu Open University is to provide higher education through distance mode to large segment of people. The main vision of University is make available innovative, socially relevant educational provisions that are learner, seamless and are of high quality by employing appropriate technologies to achieve equity in education. University offers more than 60 programs, which include undergraduate, professional, diploma, and postgraduate.
Tamil Nadu Open University offers one computer related bachelor course calls BCA which is Bachelor of Computer Applications. BCA is a 3 years full time bachelor course.
Eligibility for BCA admission:
The candidate must complete higher secondary or intermediate equivalent examination with 40 % marks for General and OBC category. For ST, SC candidate 36 % marks with mathematics as one of the subject. Only science and Mathematics stream student are eligible.
Selection procedure:
The admission will be conducted on the basis of merit of 12th standard marks. The Marks in percentage will be the aggregate of all the subjects and procedure will carry out.
Project Work:
Students must have to work on various projects while the each Academic Year. The projects should have concern with the BCA subjects and working programs are expected from the students. By evaluating project work grades are awarded.
Assignments:
Students who get the admission in the University is mandatory to complete assignments which are related to BCA subjects. The assignments will be provided by concern subject teacher or faculties.
