Punjab technical University is commonly known as PTU. PTU has formed at Jalandhar in 16th Jan 1997 for advancement of technical Education. PTU is estimated by UGC act. All colleges are approved by AICTE and PTU is also member of Association of Indian Universities. PTU won two 1st prizes awards in 2010 BY IT department under ministry of communication And IT, Government of India at Hyderabad. The University has 2.5 lakh of student approx. per year. Eligibility for BCA admission:
The candidate should be passes 10+2 or 12th examination with minimum 50 % marks in English mathematics or computer science information practice or computer application. Or three years diploma in a branch of engineering duly approved by AICTE with minimum of 50 % marks.

The Bachelor of Computer Application programme is designed focus on current Computer Applications. The main aim of the Program is to develop ability to interact with real-life situations and to build systems. Take up positions in project Management and system management in IT companies. The university also offers internet facilities to all departments of university, Library, V.C. Office, Account Office and various other departments of University through directly to their own access Computers.
Selection procedure:
The admission will be conducted on the basis of merit of 12th standard marks. The Marks in percentage will be the aggregate of all the subjects and procedure will carried out.
