Sambalpur University Distance Learning MCA Admission

The Sambalpur University Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education was started in year 1998 with on-campus courses together with Post Graduate courses. In year 2000, Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education had started PGDCA, PGDIT, and BCA courses. In 2003, Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education had started DCA and floating MCA (Lateral and Direct) course and in year 2006, Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education had started the Off Campus floating MBA (Full time) courses. 

Eligibility

(1) Lateral Entry (2 Years)

Lateral entry for the 3rd semester of MCA is permitted to candidate, who had successfully completed:

• PGDIT/PGDCA or equivalent program from any recognized University

• 'A' level exam for DOEACC, after completing Graduation

• BCA, BSc(Computer Sc), or BSc(IT) with Computer Science as main subject

Candidate longing to take admission in the 3rd semester of MCA through lateral entry will need to pay the course fees only of semester need to be completed. However, those candidates need to pay Rs. 2000/-, as exemption fee per semester exempted with admission fees.

(2) Direct Entry (3 Years)

Any Graduate from any recognized University, with Mathematics as one subject at the 10+2 level. Those who don’t have studied the Mathematics at 10+2, will be needed to successfully complete Mathematics syllabus as indicated by the BCA course structure in Sambalpur University alongside with 1st or 2nd Semester MCA Course with such candidates are needed to pay Rs. 2000/- as additional fee.

Fee Structure

The University offers easy installment facility to make payment of the course fees. The Course Fees of MCA is Rs.9, 000/- for every semester.
