IP University is also called Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, which is named after 10thGuru of Sikhs and it was located at Delhi the capital city of India. By the act of 1998 the university was formed by the Delhigovernment under the provision of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha Vishwavidyalaya. IP University is affiliated by the UGC. The university has several departments like business management, engineering, nursing, medicine, law and pharmacy. The campus covers sixty acres of area near the old Delhi. The university has more than fifty six thousands of students every year. They have more than hundred affiliatedcollegesset by GGSIPU. The university is graded “A” by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and it was ISO 9001:2000 Certified University.
Eligibility for BCA admission:
The candidate should be passes 10+2 or 12th examination CBSE or equivalent examination with minimum 50 % marks in English mathematics or computer science information practice or computer application. Or three years diploma in a branch of engineering duly approved by AICTE with 50 % marks
Selection Procedure:
Theinstitute commonly conducts Common Entrance Test for the selection of candidate. The examination format consists of 150 questionsand exam duration is 2.30 hours. The entrance examination paper contained following subject English Language & Comprehension, Quantitative Ability (Mathematics), Computer Awareness, General Knowledge-IT and Science Related. The examination has negative marking system. After written examination merit listed candidate are called for admission formalities to the colleges.
