Mother Teresa Women’s University has unique place in higher educational system because it is the only University, which is devoted for the women’s issues. Tamil Nadu Act, 15, recognized this University in the year 1984. As pronounced in this Act, it is given duty to monitor, offer consultancy services, as well as research in area of the Women’s Studies.

The Directorate of the Distance Education for the Mother Teresa Women’s University was begun in the year 1988 at the Kodaikanal. Its task is to authorize women via education, particularly women who for several reasons are dispossessed of studying via the standard mode. The Directorate of the Distance Education requests to break boundaries that block women since pursuing the higher education through taking education for homes of the women who may not go for the regular college. Our aim is higher education to every woman who wants it. We aim to expand not only identical but also reasonable opportunities for women, who wish the privilege for higher education, to pursue at the own time and place, concurrently with demand of the job or the family commitments. The Directorate of the Distance Education is the great benefit for the career women, who desire to augment their professional as well as personal competence-to home spring, who desire to gainfully utilize the time and resources for satisfying the delayed academic aspirations for the rural girls. 

Eligibility

The MCA course has 3 years duration. Another 2 years Lateral Entry course is also available. The applicant needs to have any bachelor’s degree having Mathematics at the 10+2 level. For lateral entry, the applicant needs to have any degree with the PGDCA from any recognized University. 

Admission Procedure

The application form as well as prospectus may be received from Study Centers by paying requisite fee. Completely filled-in application needs to be submitted to Study Centre with the necessary documents.
