Manonmaniam Sundaranar University was founded in the year 1990. This University has the name of literacy Tamil poet cum Professor Sundaram Pillai (1855-1897). He was a famous writer of late 19th century and author of very popular verse Skit named MANONMANIAM. The MS University provides courses to around 50,000 students every year in different faculties as well as universities in three provinces. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is the youngest University in India. The University is also attributed by the UGC.

Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is pioneer in selecting the institutions to the credit system. Courses and research programs, at the university and carefully selected during research requirements for the region. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University offers PhD and M. Phil. programs (part time and full-time) in addition to standard P.G. Courses. Manonmaniam Sundaranar University also provides good library service via University Library.

Eligibility

For 3 years M.C.A., the applicant needs to have any Degree with Mathematics at 10+2 level. To get lateral entry in the 2nd year of M.C.A. the candidate needs to have B.C.A., B.Sc. in Computer Science, or any Degree having PGDCA.

Admission Procedure 

Application form as well as prospectus may be received personally, or by post through directorate at approved study centers, via sending Demand draft for the necessary amount, favoring the Registrar, at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, to be paid at the Tirunelveli, in Tamil Nadu.  The candidate needs to mention his/her name, address and the course details at backside of draft with the request letter addressed at The Director, DD&CE, at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, at Tirunelveli. The cost of the application form for all the courses is Rs.100/- in person and Rs.125/- by post.
