Gauhati University MCA Admission Gauhati University was formed in 1948. University is locates at the western part of the Gauhati, Assam, India. This is the largest University in North East India and also the first University in that region. The campus of the University is urban campus and has the many facilities for the students. Hostel of the University can withstand for around 3000 students. This is four star rated University from the NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). University also has the affliction with the UGC. University has the very good campus location, Brahmaputra River is flowing from the side of the University thus the climate for the study is ideal.
University offers various post graduate and under graduate level. University also offers MCA programme, which is a master’s programme. The duration of the MVA programme is three years and it is a full time course.
Eligibility for MCA:
To get the admission for the MCA programme candidate must have to complete his bachelor’s degree with mathematics is the compulsory subject. Students have to undergo the 10+2+3 educational pattern from any recognized University in India. Minimum required mark for the eligibility is 60% in the final year of the bachelor degree. Relaxations in minimum require marks is also provided for the candidates who belongs from the reserved category.
Selection Procedure:
Candidates for the MCA programme are selected through the written entrance examination. This entrance exam is conducted by the University. Test is of objective type and main subject for the test are Mathematics and English. The candidates who pass the entrance examination are calls out for the personal interview.
